OUR STAR-STUDDED LINE-UP!

  • Jerrold Jenkins, founder of Jenkins Group Custom Book Publishing (1988), will share his experience developing—and monetizing—a series of books for trade and home building associations, children and adult.
  • Susan Knopf, ABPA board president and founder of Scout Books & Media Inc., will present a project that started with an inflexible, novice writer who had a grand and complex idea. The initial conversation morphed into a multi-year, kids brand-development, book producing, and non-book product consulting gig.
  • Susan Lauzau, independent editor/editorial project manager and ABPA affiliate board member, assisted an author to self-publish her own book, growing over five years with additional print and digital books, as well as card decks and videos with accompanying workbooks that offered training to educators and youth-serving professionals of grades 5 through 8.
  • LeAnna Weller Smith, founder of Weller Smith Design, helps culinary clients to self-publish high-quality custom cookbooks. She will focus on cookbook design, shepherding projects through the entire process, from product strategy, to design, production, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution.
  • Diane Linsey Reeves of Bright Futures Press will discuss producing and selling a 67-title middle grade career exploration collection. Her publishing partner focuses on traditional sales to school and public libraries while Diane uses a website and social media to connect directly with career-focused education programs to use these books as supplemental curriculum.
