Please join us for a members-only ABPA Happy Hour with Mayo Clinic Press, one of the leading health publishers nationwide. Launched in 2019, Mayo Clinic Press aims to shine a light on the most fascinating stories in medicine and empower individuals with the knowledge to build healthier, happier lives.

From the award-winning Mayo Clinic Health Letter, with over half a million subscribers, to books and media covering the scope of human health and wellness, Mayo Clinic Press publications provide readers with reliable and trusted content by some of the world’s leading health care professionals. With a growth trajectory from four to twenty books a year in 2022, and up to a hundred by 2030, the Press is eager to partner with creative book packagers as well as editors and designers to reinforce its lean staff.

 

Who You’ll Meet

Nina Wiener joined Mayo Clinic Press in 2021 with the goal of helping to build a world-class multimedia program around health and medicine. Its first Editor in Chief, Nina has worked in the world of independent book publishing for twenty-five years, most recently as managing editor at Taschen, where she acquired and developed bestselling titles with NASA, The New York Times, and Disney; oversaw the publication of monographs by acclaimed artists Walton Ford and Peter Beard; and edited books on subjects from the life of sharks to the roots of yoga. A native of Los Angeles, she now lives and gardens in Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

Jenny Krueger joined Mayo Clinic Press in 2021 as Editorial Director, Children’s. The new children’s division will offer expert-developed, trusted health and wellness content for kids through a variety of engaging print and digital experiences. Jenny has worked in children’s publishing for 15 years, with extensive experience in educational publishing, particularly for the school library and classroom markets. She has launched educational products with major brands in the K-12 market, such as Crayola and Sesame Street. She lives in Minneapolis.

Art Director Jay Koski has spent many of his 22 years at Mayo Clinic in publishing, both print and digital. Koski is also a filmmaker and has prior experience in magazine and tradeshow exhibit design. He currently resides in Bemidji, Minnesota.
