PRESENTERS

Terri Wright is the Founder & Creative Director of Book Lotus Productions, and ABPA Board Member. She has more than 30 years of experience in the publishing industry and has produced multiple award-winning publications for self-published authors. She is also Production Director for Workbook Creative, producing high-quality illustration and photography advertising directories. Her career also includes design and production for larger publishing houses including the Smithsonian Institution, HarperCollins, Cengage Learning, Houghton Mifflin, McGraw-Hill, Pearson, University of California, Santa Barbara, among others.

LeAnna Weller Smith is Owner and Executive Creative Director at Weller Smith Design, an award-winning Boutique Design Agency. She is the creator of Productologie by Weller Smith Design® and is also the host of the Creatively Speaking with LeAnna Weller Smith. She has over 20 years of experience in the design and publishing industries. She started her career in publishing at Artisan Books working on cookbooks and illustrated coffee-table books, and has also worked for other publishers including Abrams, Skyhorse, Stewart, Tabori & Chang, The Lyons Press, The Countryman Press, Rizzoli, Workman, and more. With a focus on cookbook design, she currently helps culinary clients to self-publish high-quality custom cookbooks. She shepherds them through the entire process, from product strategy to design, production, warehousing, fulfillment, and distribution.

Emily Davis began her career working in the receiving department of Barnes & Noble where she quickly learned the ins and outs of supplying a bookstore chain. After a promotion to the Kids Lead of the store, she then began her focus on driving sales and merchandising to feature notable children’s books as well as organizing store events and signings. The next step was to transition over to IngramSpark where she started as a Client Support Coordinator, gaining knowledge and insight into the publishing industry. After five years on the team, she is now an Inside Sales Representative who works with authors and influencers to begin their publishing journeys.

Kristin Mehus-Roe Kristin is the publisher of Flashpoint Books/Girl Friday Books. She has been in publishing for more than twenty years, bringing the words and ideas of writers, luminaries, big brands, and timeless institutions to the page. She has a passion for working with her super-talented team on complex illustrated books. She lives in Seattle with her family and two dogs.
